Roasted Turkey w/ Giblet Gravy

This is probably one of the most searched for recipes around the holidays! This is one that I’ve had forever and it has saved me quite a few times before I had my friend Google.

Making your first turkey dinner can be quite intimidating but you can follow these simple directions for a perfect roasted turkey. Stuffed turkeys generally need to cook at 325 for about 20 minutes/pound while unstuffed turkeys are about 15 minutes/pound but always check the temperature with a meat thermometer! Homemade Bread Stuffing – Updated!

I’ve updated this recipe to include for baking it separately as well as some add-ins to make it a little extra special. I can remember getting out the biggest bowls we could find to make this when I was a kid. This was always the best part of Thanksgiving for me.

Our 2019 Thanksgiving Dinner Menu with recipe links!

Well, it’s about that time of year when families far and near will be gathering around the table to enjoy each other’s company over a delicious meal. This year will be a little bittersweet for me as I know that I will be missing at least two of my kiddos plus their spouses for dinner… sniff, sniff. I do know that they are growing up and their lives are taking them other places so I am so very proud of them but I’m really gonna miss them… in fact, I already miss them and they aren’t even gone yet!

We will be having our dinner this year and we will have plenty of family favorites to enjoy. I was really HOPING and PRAYING that we would be having it in our new home but that doesn’t seem like it will happen this year… sigh. I am so THANKFUL that we are getting a new home though and I’m really trying to be as patient as I can be and PRAYING that NOTHING else comes up… the survey crew did come out so hopefully, we will be back on track soon! It’s The Day Before Thanksgiving and My House Is A Wreck!

It’s true, our little house on the pond is a wreck and I don’t know where we will put all of our guests that are coming tomorrow. Anybody else feel the same way right now?
