I’m so sorry I forgot to post the links earlier… my brain has gone on vacation or something… lol!
Hey guys! Things have been SOOO CRAZY around here this week as our house is finally here and in the process of getting set up. I’ve been running around like a headless chicken trying to get the last couple of things taken care of.
I meant to post this sale yesterday… I’ve got make sure I grab a couple of these for myself as well... but I got BUSY and forgot! I’m so sorry!
I haven’t been talking a lot about our Norwex lately but I can tell you that we are even more in love with these products than we were when we first got them.
We’ve been using the cloths and water to clean the majority of our house and we are loving how easy it is not too mention all the money we’re saving because we aren’t buying so many cleaners. After watching some live demos I’m even more confident in Norwex’s ability to remove viruses and bacteria from the surfaces. Continue reading “Black Friday Sale Starts Today!”→
I had to do my grocery shopping this past weekend and our internet was DOWN! This meant that I needed to physically go into the store and push the buggy down the aisles… pure TORTURE, right? Well, maybe it doesn’t seem that bad but I have been spoiled by the Walmart Grocery Pickup.
How’s the weather where you are? It’s been a bit nippy this weekend and I actually plugged up one of the heaters yesterday morning because it was so chilly in the house. It’s looking like I’m gonna need to dig the heavy blankets out of the shed soon. Luckily today has been quite a bit warmer and seems like it’s gonna be a nice day… which is a blessing as I really don’t like hanging clothes out when it’s cold! We’ve had a pretty busy and interesting weekend! So busy that I’m feeling a little like this right now:
New House Update
We’ve also been dealing with yet ANOTHER SNAG as far as our NEW HOUSE goes… we’ve already closed but now the bank (and the county) are asking for a NEW SURVEY! We did ask about this beforehand and we were assured that it wasn’t needed. Now we get the ‘this has never been required before‘ and ‘we’ve never had this happen before‘ from the dealer… sigh. Honestly, I’m really quite sick of the whole mess and I’m gonna give real-life updates about the situation from here on out and not hide the messy part of it because I know if we are dealing with all of this there will be others as well. Maybe reading about our ordeal will help prevent someone else from having the same issue. Continue reading “Life Update: A Jacuzzi, A Boy’s Night out, And Why We Don’t ‘Do’ Halloween”→
These lessons were made to go along with ‘By the Shores of Silver Lake‘ written by Laura Ingalls Wilder. We are planning to go through the whole series and I am keeping track of the different topics we are learning about here on my blog. We hope you enjoy these as much as we have!
This page contains our lesson plans for a few different areas that I have included with our ‘Life Skills’. You will find lessons on cooking, cleaning, and organization as well as Bible memory work, manners, and character training. All of these will go together to help raise our children into the responsible and caring citizens of tomorrow.
This article sent a wide range of emotions through me when I saw it a few days back. I mean how on earth would this have ever been OK? Our precious babies depend on us for EVERYTHING and we depend on these companies to provide us with quality goods and products to help us care for our babies.
We’ve all read or heard about all of the nasty stuff in our foods and we all know how important it is to check the ingredients but many of us would probably just assume that baby food would be SAFE… the fact that these companies are doing this and putting our children’s lives in danger really makes me MAD.
Here is just a little from the article:
[A new investigation by the nonprofit healthy babies bright future reveals in a study 95% of baby foods tested contain toxic chemicals that can lower IQ.
Friday evening I had been binge-watching some Fixer Upper when a text came through. It was from Southwestern Produce to let us know that they had rescheduled the veggie pickup due to bad weather… well, that threw a little wrench in Saturday’s plans as I had already scheduled a few other things around the pickup but I quickly got to work a rescheduled things so I wouldn’t have to get up quite so early… yay! I still need to figure out a plan for next weekend as I already had plans for Saturday morning…Continue reading “Monday Message: Seeing Your Blessings Through The Tears”→
This post actually started out as a different post but it got so long that I broke it down and decided to share this part of it with you today!
Things have been SO CRAZY BUSY here lately… I can’t tell you about everything we’ve been up to but I will let you know about a few things we have been doing down below. We are so excited about EVERYTHING that is going on and we just can’t wait to SPILL THE BEANS with EVERYONE!
For now, though I’ll tell you about some of our latest adventures here in our little cabin.
A trip to the movies
We took them ALL to see the new Lion King and it was so GOOD! My oldest son was a HUGE Lion King fan when he was little… and I believe he may still be very partial to the original but my younger kids only knew about the new Disney version of the series.
Here’s a trailer for it if you haven’t seen it yet:
Oh my goodness, what a day I’ve had and it isn’t even been lunchtime yet. I actually went to bed early last night as I was just so exhausted. Mr. Awesome had a meeting and wouldn’t be home until late so I made the most of the evening.
The kids helped me make Chili Dog Casserole for dinner. We made it a little bit different as we just put the hotdogs into hotdog buns, instead of tortillas, and then spread the chili sauce on top and sprinkled with cheese before baking.
