I’m so sorry I forgot to post the links earlier… my brain has gone on vacation or something… lol!
Hey guys! Things have been SOOO CRAZY around here this week as our house is finally here and in the process of getting set up. I’ve been running around like a headless chicken trying to get the last couple of things taken care of.
I meant to post this sale yesterday… I’ve got make sure I grab a couple of these for myself as well... but I got BUSY and forgot! I’m so sorry!
I don’t post a lot of ‘canning’ recipes on here because most of what I know about canning is in my head. I just do things the way I saw them done when I was young and I can’t really guarantee the accuracy of all of them.
This recipe here is a good one for canning and giving out as gifts though. It never seems to stick around that long here though because my kids LOVE applesauce and I love that I know exactly what’s in it. This recipe can also be used for the Crockpot Apple Butter! If you decide to use this for Apple Butter you may want to omit the sugar and seasonings.
I want to thank everyone who said a little prayer and kept my daughter and son-in-law in their thoughts this past week as they were traveling across the country to their new home… at least it will be for the next couple of years until they are stationed elsewhere. I miss them so much already but I am so happy to report that they made it safely with almost everything they had tied on the back of their truck… the vacuum cleaner was not so fortunate. They are working on getting settled in and preparing to have their first Christmas away from family… I am so proud but it makes me sad too!Continue reading “Life Update: A Cross-Country Move, House News, and A Question”→
You grab a couple of friends, a couple of dump trucks, and you play in it… of course! Well, that’s what our kiddos did over the weekend. We did get a total of 12 loads of dirt for the new house but no house yet. Even though they said they would try to have it here by Thanksgiving.
The piles were just too tempting and the kids kept begging to play so we decided to let them make some fun memories. The dog had to have a chance to play as well so I’m not sure who had more fun… lol. Everyone had to have a bath after they played because they were covered in red clay and we had an orange dog but they had a blast!
This is a recipe I’ve had since my high school home economics class. It was always a hit with my younger brothers and sisters as pizza was a rare treat for us when we were growing up and being able to make it at home was a blessing!
Homemade pizzas are always so much fun because everyone can make their pizza the way they like it… yay! If you don’t care for the tomato sauce you could probably give this a try with some Easy Alfredo Sauce.
I haven’t been talking a lot about our Norwex lately but I can tell you that we are even more in love with these products than we were when we first got them.
We’ve been using the cloths and water to clean the majority of our house and we are loving how easy it is not too mention all the money we’re saving because we aren’t buying so many cleaners. After watching some live demos I’m even more confident in Norwex’s ability to remove viruses and bacteria from the surfaces. Continue reading “Black Friday Sale Starts Today!”→
I got this recipe from a co-worker a long time ago. I was pregnant at the time and these were one of my biggest cravings! (I don’t know if the pan is meant to be an 8×8 or 9×9? or maybe even a 9×13… I really can’t remember for sure)
I have a couple of kiddos who absolutely love red velvet… I can’t say that I blame them because I’m pretty fond of it myself. I’ve got this recipe for red velvet brownies that I want to try with this as the base… yummy!
This is a recipe that I’ve had for a while but haven’t made for quite some time! You can have fun and experiment with different flavors and seasonings to find your favorite. We want to try them with some maple syrup one time!
Roasted pumpkin seeds have a lot of different health benefits as well. You can read more about them HERE.
I don’t rightly remember where this recipe came from but I do know that my little brother loved it when he was just a little thing… so it’s been around for a while now. You can use this Homemade Buttercream Icing to frost it or give it just a sprinkle of powdered sugar or leave it plain.
