I made the best-baked catfish the other night and I just had to share it with y’all. We’ve been trying to eat healthier and this recipe will definitely be going on repeat. Continue reading “Super Easy Baked Catfish”
Mommas, I know how things can get when you let the kids help out in the kitchen. They get underfoot and you have to repeat things over and over again and again. In fact, many times things seem to go faster when you don’t let them help but trust me, you want them to help just as much as they want to help. In the long run, it will be beneficial to everyone if you can get them in the kitchen as soon as possible! Continue reading “Getting Kids To Help In The Kitchen”
Here at our little cabin, we’ve been on a mission to ‘Go Green’ or at least go greener than we have been and let me tell you that it has not been an entirely smooth path. I’ve spent countless hours researching products and companies, then spent money on products that seemed like they would be a good fit only to find out that they didn’t work for us.
I have found some products that I really loved but I had to pay a yearly subscription fee or had a minimum monthly purchase required to be able to keep buying them. Well, no more hassles here. I’ve found a company that offers everything we need and more.
The first product I ordered was a couple of these cute little ‘pet to dry’ hand towels for the bathroom:
The kids love using them and I love that they don’t get pulled off the towel bar every time someone washes their hands. They also have this great BacLock feature that keeps them from getting all sour-smelling… you know what I mean. Yuck!
I recently placed another order for even more products and made the decision to join the company as an Independent Sales Consultant. Yay!! I have been pondering the idea for a while after stumbling across some YouTube videos a few months back. I had been hesitating because I was waiting for the right time… I’m sure many of you can relate.

Do you ever feel like you have a dark cloud over you that you just can’t shake? Well, it’s been that way for a bit here. We’ve had more downs than ups but I know that it won’t last forever.
A few months back I mentioned that we had tried to get a house and it just didn’t work out. We haven’t given up but things have been quite a bit tougher than we ever imagined during this process and honestly, I’m about to lose my ever-lovin’ mind with paperwork on top of paperwork. (I’ve been hinting about a big surprise and was hoping to have some major housing updates by now but so far NADA.)
This quaint little cabin has some major issues and we have been working on them a little at a time but sometimes I just wanna throw my hands up in the air and quit. Seriously, it’s hard living in 600 square feet with 7 people and a doggie. I do love this little cabin and its location but in all honesty, it’s not been an easy transition for me. I know it’s the middle of summer but I just found this great program that I had to share! I’m always looking for ways to cut back on the craziness around here and I am a big supporter of meal planning. (I do apologize for dropping the ball lately on getting those posted but I promise you I have a very good reason which I’ll share soon!) The one thing I need to incorporate more into my meal planning is freezer cooking. Continue reading “100 Days of Summer Freezer Meals – the series!”
If you’re up-to-date on health news or follow anyone in the health field, you’ve likely heard the term “ketogenic diet.” After all, it’s one of the most searched terms on the internet today. Continue reading “What are ketones (and are they healthy)?”
