I really don’t know just how many apple pie recipes I have but apparently, someone really likes apple pies around here. Try this Whipped Pie Crust for the perfect flaky crust.
Perfect Apple Pies
- 6-8 apples (6 c. peeled and sliced thinly)
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 2 T. butter
- 2 T. flour
- 4 T. butter, softened
- 2 pie crust, unbaked
Preheat oven to 400.
Combine the sugar, apples, flour, and cinnamon together.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with one pie crust and add the filling mixture.
Place the other pie crust on top and seal.
Cut slits in the top crust and dot with butter.
Bake 50 minutes.
You may need to put foil over the edges to keep them from burning.
