Craving something sweet and warm on a cold day? Try this single-serve version of The Best Hot Cocoa and you can be sipping on a warm cup of delicious hot cocoa in just a couple of minutes! Feel free to use non-fat milk and/or try it with almond milk and omit the sugar to sweeten it with your favorite low-calorie sweetener after microwaving!
Single-Serve Hot Cocoa
Ingredients:
- 2-3 T. sugar
- tiny pinch of salt
- 1-2 T. cocoa powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1/4-1/2 t. vanilla
- dash of cinnamon (optional)
- Marshmallows or whipped cream for topping
Directions:
Heat the milk in the microwave (1-2 minutes) or on the stove until HOT.
Combine the sugar, salt, and cocoa powder together in a large coffee mug.
Stir the hot milk into the cocoa mixture until well blended.
Stir in the vanilla and lightly whisk until foamy.
Top with marshmallows or whipped if desired.
You can also drizzle it with a little bit of Homemade Chocolate Syrup.
