This would be good over just about any cake but my favorite is over a simple vanilla cake. I normally use my stand mixer for making icings but a good hand mixer would work well too.
Creamy Maple Frosting
- 1/4 c. Crisco or butter
- 1/2 t. salt
- 1/3 c. maple syrup
- 2 t. vanilla
- 3 c. confectioner’s sugar
- 3 T. milk (2 T. if using butter)
Combine the butter, salt, syrup, vanilla, and 1 cup of sugar, mix well.
Add milk and remaining sugar, alternately, mix until smooth and creamy.
Use as desired and Enjoy!
