I love to bake and decorate cakes for my family. This is my go-to recipe for decorator icing.
- 1/4 c. milk
- 1 stick butter
- 2 c. Crisco
- 2 t. vanilla (or almond extract)
- 2 t. lemon juice
- 1 bag + 1 c. confectioner’s sugar
Cream the butter and shortening together with an electric mixer.
Add vanilla and lemon juice.
Scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl often as you incorporate the sugar into the mixture.
Add in the milk. Add more milk as needed to reach the desired consistency.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Use as desired and Enjoy!
