Salisbury Steak w/Gravy
- 1 lb ground beef
- ⅓ c. breadcrumbs
- ½ t. salt
- ¼ t. pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, sliced (optional)
- 2 c. beef broth
- 1 – 4oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 2 T. cornstarch
- 2 T. water
- 1 – Pack brown gravy mix or 1 – jar/can brown gravy, prepared as directed
Preheat oven to 350.
Mix the first 5 ingredients together and shape into patties about ¾ inches thick.
Fry the patties in a skillet turning once until brown.
Add onion mushroom and beef broth heat to boiling.
Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
Remove patties to a dish and keep warm.
Heat broth mixture until boiling.
Mix water and cornstarch together. Whisk into the boiling mixture until gravy begins to thicken. Add the prepared gravy
Bake 20-25 minutes or until bubbly.
