My kids love donuts but they are so expensive and so sweet that we only have them every now and then as a special treat.
These little donut holes will satisfy your donut craving and they are pretty quick to make.
Easy Donut Holes
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
- oil, for frying
- 1-2 c. powdered sugar
Directions:
Heat your oil in a deep-fryer or large skillet.
Line a plate with paper towels and set it to the side.
While the oil is heating, open the biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters.
Place the powdered sugar in a shallow dish or large Ziploc bag.
When the oil is hot drop the biscuit pieces, a few at a time, and fry until golden brown.
Remove the biscuit pieces with a slotted spoon and place on the paper towel-lined plate to drain.
Add more biscuits to the pan.
While these are frying you can roll, or shake, the cooked donut holes in powdered sugar. Be careful as they will be HOT!
Let cool slightly and ENJOY!
I’m just starting to branch out into trying to make donuts! I will give yours a shot!
