These are definitely not super healthy but they are pretty easy to make. They are also a special treat we enjoy from time to time. I’d say you could probably exchange the apples for other fruits as well.
Easy Apple Dumplings
Ingredients:
- 2-3 cans crescent rolls
- 3-4 apples, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3/4 c butter or margarine
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 t. cinnamon
- 1 can Mountain Dew or 7up
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Unroll the rolls and put apple chunks on each one. Roll them up and seal the edges shut.
Place in a greased 9×13 baking dish. Bake for 10-15 minutes.
While baking melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the sugar and cinnamon.
Pour over the baked dumplings. Then pour the soda over everything.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Serve with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with sauce, for a special treat.
