This is a new take on an old recipe that I’ve had. The kids (and myself) love breadsticks. I especially love the Cheesy Bread from Hungry Howies. This may not be quite as good but my kids don’t complain and neither do I as it is much easier than driving 20-30 minutes one way for an order.
My mouth is watering just typing in this recipe.
Cheesy Garlic Sticks
Ingredients:
- 1 stick margarine
- 2 c flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 T. garlic, minced with a little of the juice (or use 1 t. garlic powder and 1 T. olive oil)
- 2 c. mozzarella cheese, shredded
- parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425.
Place margarine in a 9×13 in pan and place in oven.
While margarine is melting Mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pat out to 9×13 size.
When butter is melted remove pan from oven and place dough in pan.
Take a pizza cutter and cut dough into strips.
Butter will ooze between strips…Brush on the garlic and juice.
Top with shredded cheese and sprinkle with parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
Bake 15 -20 minutes.
Enjoy!
